My path to becoming an artist was anything but conventional.

I grew up in Northern Canada in a home that welcomed hundreds of foster children over the years. From an early age, I witnessed both the challenges people face and the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit. Those experiences shaped how I see the world and continue to influence my work today.

At sixteen, I lost my father suddenly in a tragic accident. In the years that followed, I learned firsthand about grief, perseverance, and rebuilding. Those lessons would remain with me through every chapter of my life.

After an early marriage and divorce, I packed everything I owned into a trailer and moved to Calgary to begin again. While attending school for Petroleum Engineering Technology, I built a successful career in Alberta's energy industry and later founded and operated my own recruitment business.

Along the way, I remarried, raised two sons, and built a life rooted in family, hard work, and community. Through every season, art remained a constant thread.

After retiring from business, I chose to pursue painting professionally and completed the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program. Today, I create from my Calgary studio and a second mountain studio in British Columbia, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, weather, and atmosphere of Western Canada.

My paintings explore the relationship between beauty and strength. I am drawn to moments where light emerges from darkness, where stillness follows a storm, and where nature reveals both its power and its grace. Through mountains, prairies, skies, and wilderness, I seek to create work that invites reflection, connection, and a sense of wonder.
